About Me

My name is Becky Holt. I grew up in the Pacific Northwest and moved to Hawaii Island in 2008 to raise my kids … and maybe finish growing myself.

I became a Certified Arborist through the International Society of Arboriculture in 2016, and received my Tree Risk Assessment Qualifier in 2020.

I am passionate about all living things and the natural web that is woven throughout our planet that connects everything. I believe the best food is something you can pick from your own back yard, or that is shared with neighbors.

Being free of reliance on shipping and importing food is particularly vital for our little island community, and supporting each other with this goal in mind is where the dream of Knotty by Nature arose.
